From Montgomery the tram runs on line 44. The rails are laid in the middle of Avenue de Tervueren, an important thoroughfare running from Merode in west, connects with Square Montgomery, passes through Woluwe-Saint-Pierre and the intersection of Quatre Bras, before ending in Tervuren.

One walks on cobblestones through the allée where trees stretch high and its branches are only penetrated by small glimpses of sunshine crawling playfully on the ground like scuds under a lifted rock, and enter the city which nature is defined solely by the travelled paths.

The asphalt reaches my shins—my feet are on a different ground.


The projects explore contemporary places of ruin, and is based on Henrik Christian Andersen’s vision of a World City, described in Creation of a World Centre of Communication (Paris, 1913), and explores modern places of ruin.
